Whew, just got home after a 2-hour commute (not even counting the one hour I waited for a bus before giving up and going back to my office to eat some dinner). Huge metro accident - at least six dead, tons injured, and apparently they're still getting people off the trains - and this happened five hours ago!

Craziness.

Although I wouldn't have been on the trains, since I go the opposite direction, I'm still grateful I had a happy hour and wasn't on my way home to get stuck in that mess.

However, this did lead to one of the more amusing metro incidents I've ever witnessed.

This girl pulled her dog out of her Louis Vuitton purse somewhere around Gallery Place. I literally did a double-take when I saw it.

Then I took lots of cell phone pictures and sent them to a few people. Best response was from my 13-year-old sister Mary: "Wat a diva!"

True dat! (Which I am way too white to pull off realistically, but whatever!)
